This site used to be a good
informational site for Patty, however that has been discontinued since 2002 due
to the advent of better sites run by younger and much more energetic fans!
This site is now just an
informational/"how to join" page for the first ever and longest running email
discussion list for Patty Griffin, Mad-Mission.

Time Does The Talking, a new Patty Griffin website, was launched at www.pattygriffin.net. Knowing the web page owners' dedication to their projects, I feel this web site will perhaps be the best one-stop resource for fans of Patty Griffin for some time to come.

How To join or leave Mad Mission
SUBSCRIBING:
To
SUBSCRIBE, send an email to
mad-mission-request@smoe.org
and have only the
word subscribe in
the BODY of the email.
Do NOT send a sig file if you have one. If you HAVE
to use a sig, then please type the word end on
a line below the word subscribe, and then send that. Such as:
subscribe
end
It does not matter
what you have in the SUBJECT of your email. Shortly thereafter, you will
receive an email from confirm@smoe.org,
which
will contain a key/code that you have to send/email BACK to confirm@smoe.org.
This code appears in both the body and the subject of the email you will
receive. All you have to do is send this key/code back to confirm@smoe.org
in either the body and/or the subject of the email you will be sending and you are in. You will then receive an email entitled "Welcome To
Mad-Mission" which will tell you what to do to partake in this mailing list
plus some other pertinent information that the list manager wishes to
convey to you.
There is also a digest version. The only thing different about the subscription procedure is that the address to send the subscription request is mad-mission-digest-request@smoe.org. The digest version is one daily email that contains all of that days posts on Mad Mission. If there were no posts that day no digest is published.
There was also
a news version of the list, but due to very low volume of the regular list
(where news list items were culled from), the news list was closed down in June
of 2012.

word unsubscribe in
the BODY of the email.
